Come On America, Take North Korea Out Now
Question for Americans: How many different reasons does the Whitehouse need to order a military strike on North Korea, and can they do without impunity? My answer: naah, sentencing two American women to 12 years in a labour camp should be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Besides, what is the rest of the world going to do about it if America does decide to take N. Korea out?
And what is this BS “we are deeply concerned” coming from Washington? Deeply concerned isn’t going to help the two U.S. journalists, now is it? I tell ya, what a bunch of useless idiots Americans elected last November. Cowards, that’s what they are becoming, the elected officials in Washington I mean.
No matter what it takes, the U.S. government must act on the 12-year prison sentences handed to two American journalists in North Korea. It’s really a no-brainer, and under the current circumstances N. Korea finds itself in on the international scene, there should be no question in America’s mind about whether or not they need to adapt heavier handed tactics when dealing with the tyrants in Pyongyang.
I suspect that the N. Koreans intend to use Laura Ling and Euna Lee as bargaining chips in whatever transpires over the next little while as far as their nuclear weapons development goes, and at the end of the day, the women will return to the U.S., if they don’t die first.
The U.S. should by all rights drawing up a plan to invade N. Korea ASAP and finally put an end to the madness that is running rampant through the N. Korean government.
It’s not as if international repercussions against the U.S. will be severe, I mean think about it, China isn’t really going to give a shit, and we all know the S. Koreans don’t care what happens to their whacko neighbours, so why not send in an army President Obama.
Forget about what Iran has to say about it, and don’t worry about Japan either. Australia isn’t going to care. The way Oceania sees it, taking out the N. Koreans is a good thing; of course, you won’t hear leaders of China, Japan, S. Korea, and Australia say as much. That’s an opinion they will keep to themselves, but at the end of the day, they will see the dismantling of the N. Korea government as a good thing for Oceania.
Enough is enough and the time has come to take N. Korea out. Seriously, why waste time effing around with them anymore?
THREATS AREN’T WORKING. TALK ISN’T WORKING, AND NEITHER ARE SANCTIONS. THINK ABOUT IT, WHAT ELSE CAN ANYBODY DO TO LESSEN NORTH KOREA’S THREAT TO THE WORLD?
There’s little doubt in my mind that Australia and Japan couldn’t do the job, and probably do it more effectively. But, America should get first crack at taking down Kim Jong-il, if only because they have been shooting off their mouth the most when it comes to the lunacy coming out of N. Korea.
A very well thought out air strike should do the trick. It’s not like America doesn’t have the technology to pull that off. The world saw what the U.S. Air Force could do in Desert Storm. So, let’s see the U.S. do something like that again, but with a little more precision this time. THEY CAN DO IT!
I really don’t think the U.S. can sit back, and hope international pressure is going to force the N. Koreans into seeing the error of their ways, not these days anyway. Blowing the crap out of them will though.
There aren’t any other options left really. Years of sanctions, diplomacy, and the United Nations have failed miserably in changing N. Korea’s attitude, and it’s about time somebody started dropping some bombs on them.
Just watch the N. Korean army run for cover when that starts happening. I can just see the N. Korean soldiers laying down their arms, and pretty much begging U.S. forces to take them prisoner, just like Saddam Hussein’s soldiers did during Desert Storm.
Come on America, call N. Korea’s bluff, and let them have it. Start mobilizing U.S. troops in the demilitarized zone, and rev up those bomb-carrying birds. Time to take the fight to N. Korea instead of waiting for N. Korea to bring the fight to you.
I guess what I’m basically saying is, that Kim Jong-il’s time is up, and the time has come to, as that clown in Iran said about Israel a while back, “Wipe them off the world map.”
Send in the troops Mr. President, because dialogue and threats, and years of both I might add, isn’t working. It never has really, not while Jong-il has been in power anyway.
TIME TO DROP BOMBS ON THE NORTH KOREANS AND PUT AN END TO THEIR SILLY LITTLE HEAD GAMES. REALLY IT IS.
N. Korea Sentences 2 U.S. Journalists to 12 Years of Hard Labor

Hey, long time no see ceegee.
That said, ARE YA KIDDING? You want the US to invade a nation or bomb them (and kill plenty civilians) and the only thing you presented as their “crimes” are 2 people being sentenced to 12yrs and they have been “shooting off their mouth”. Get the fuck out of here, you’re serious? The US puts people in prison for years without even charging them, the US has killed more than 100 thousand civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. The US has killed journalists and tortured people, created millions of refugees. And you want to bomb N. Korea over two 12yrs prison sentances and shooting off their mouth. OK sure. http://www.democracynow.org/2009/5/29/north_korea
Hey Danny,
Yeah I’m serious man. I think it’s high time the U.S. shut out, or down, North Korea once and for all. And know, I don’t just base my opinion on the fact that authorities kidnapped two American journalists, and then adapted charges against them to reflect that they are spies. The two women are guilty of stupidity, and not respecting the laws of another country, but 12 years man…Get effing real.
Anybody who thinks a war can be fought without civilian casualties, “collateral damage”, needs his or her head examined. It isn’t like the U.S. or Canada, the Brits, the Aussies, the Israelis are going out of their way to kill innocent civilians. The enemy uses innocent people as human shields, innocent people are bound to die.
You think the U.S. is the only country in the world to have created millions of refugees (I notice how you failed to mention that the U.S. also accepts refugees-interesting)?
Do you seriously think the U.S. is guiltier than any other country when it comes to torture, refugees and the death of innocent civilians?
Oh hey, the tortured you vaguely mention; I hear three of them have been given a one-way ticket to Bermuda, you know, relocated. How sweet is that for them, and guess what, the U.S. taxpayer will be picking up that cost, and probably a bit more until they are settled.
Yeah man, get tortured by the U.S., and hey they will send you to the tropics to recover.
By the way, I posted another entry in my blog today. It’s been a few days since I last posted one, but if your response to this blog entry is anything to go by…Looking forward to reading your comments on that one.
Take care. Cheers mate.
Incredulous to me brah. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. And saying its just war is a cop out. After some 12 yrs in an ER waching people fuck up due to either incompetence, lazieness or accident, I came to accept that the bottom line is OUTCOMES and when you compare the N.korean actions to Washingtons actions on a global scale its a no brainer who has caused more suffering and death in other peoples nations. Washingtons refusal to sign a cluster bomb treaty has crippled and killed 10s of thousands and mostly children, years after the conflict is over. No its not going out of Washingtons way to kill them its a natural result of imperialism and callous self serving international aggression. And if you think being sent to bermuda is compensation for years of dentention without charge and torture, I have no idea where your comming from, you cant give me a trip anywhere to replace years of my life and excuse torturing me. But maybe you place a different value on life than I do.
Respect
Hey Danny,
First off let me explain that I was being facetious about the Guantanamo inmates being shipped off to Bermuda. I think it’s kind of funny. I wish every time somebody wronged me (don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the U.S. wronged these guys by any stretch of the imagination) I could be so lucky.
As far as N. Korea goes, I think it is time that somebody called their bluff, and if Americans don’t want to do it, then somebody else should step up. I think the Australians should consider it, giving a) they are an American ally-which makes them a threat to N. Korea, and b) there is little doubt in my mind they have the capability of lobbing a rocket over here.
You say Washington’s refusal to sign a cluster bomb treaty has crippled and killed 10s of thousands, and years after a conflict is over. What about landmines deployed by other nations, how many have been killed and crippled by them?
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a tragedy of huge proportions, but at the end of the day why should Washington disarm itself when everybody else (I’m generalizing here) is reluctant, or unwilling to do same?
Do I think the U.S. should stay out of everybody’s affairs, yes. Do I think the U.S. should clean up its own backyard before meddling in another’s, yes.
Do I think the U.S. is solely to blame for what has and is going on today in certain parts of the world, absolutely not.
Do I think the U.S. should take off the “kid gloves” when it comes to N. Korea, a country I might add that has been a threat to global security for decades now, yes.
Do I think sanctions against N. Korea work, no. They never really have, but yes sanctions of hindered N. Korea from going ballistic (no pun intended).
The other thing I should mention is that N. Korea is a serious a threat to world stability, never mind the U.S., and the worst part of it is, they have allies, like Iran who if push ever comes to shove, will gladly back N. Korea up with what ever military might and prowess they have.
At the end of the day, and to steal a quote from Mahmoud Ahminidejad, “wipe them off the world map.” I know that sounds cruel, but hey, if it makes the world a safer place for my kids, then so be it.
As for my value on human life, I don’t want to see anybody but the “bad guys” taken out, but unfortunately innocent people die due to human error, bad intelligence, the human shield effect, and the leaders of the countries that come under attack.
I accept that there isn’t much that can be done about that, not unless warring countries agree to fist fights or a winner takes all sporting event.
Weapons of mass destruction of all sorts will always be on the table, and it is unrealistic for me to think that the day will ever come where they don’t.
Now that I’ve gone on and on with my reply, your respect is acknowledged mate, and with respect I have responded to you.
Cheers mate.
You actualy said “(don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the U.S. wronged these guys by any stretch of the imagination)” Ok you got me holding people in prison without charge for years and years and then declare you have nothing on them is not wronging them. You might win the oval office if you lived in the States. But you will never work for a human rights organization.
Peace
Danny,
Explain to me what it is the U.S. did to the men that wouldn’t have been done to prisoners in World War I and World War II.
They were enemy combatants, and in war their are treated like shit. Why should anybody care about that when the lives of more than 330 million are at risk.
Think what you will mate, but at the end of the day you’re alive because the Washington admin is doing their job to protect and save lives of Americans.
I don’t give a flying rats ass about the rights of terrorists, enemy combatants, alleged or otherwise.
Think what you will about me, but human rights organizations are over-rated, and I would never want to work for one-so no, I won’t be looking for work in the human rights field any time soon.
