Disgraced Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer Political Future Is Impotent

Published by ceegee at 10:13 pm under M.O.F.O Edit This

What is wrong with people, especially political pundits who think that Eliot Spitzer, he who got taken down by those who caught him with his pants down around his ankles with high-priced hooker Ashley Dupre, is kinda, sorta on the political comeback trail?

The door to a political future for the former New York top cop and governor has been slammed shut harder and tighter than the legs of the hookers he spent time with, and for anybody to even hint that Spitzer might have a political future is preposterous.

Stephen Clark at Fox News is an idiot.  Eliot Spitzer the next comeback kid. How much crack did he smoke before that thought entered his mind? The brass at Fox News might want to consider drug-testing Clark, because only somebody high on drugs could be that delusional, and that out of touch with the Spitzer political reality.

Spitzer on the comeback trail. That is really, really funny. What kind of platform would he run with to get re-elected to anything; one strong on family values, crime and corruption, or how about social issues, like those that lead women like Ashley Dupre into prostitution in the first place? Yeah that’s it, let’s make Spitzer the poster boy for the reasons women become hookers, and let’s enjoy the moment when he says he is going to get tougher on johns.

Eliot Spitzer on making a political comeback is as silly as his wife and daughters are for him slide on what was obviously a very embarrassing and confronting situation for them.  How deaf, dumb and stupid are those three women? Let me guess, they took their cue from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who in her own moment of shame and embarrassment, let her husband “Willy Wanker” off the hook when he got caught playing ‘hide the cigar and salami’ with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

She’s another stupid woman who thinks forgiveness is far more important than saving face when it comes to love and marriage.

Get real, that kind of marriage value vanished a long time ago, right around the time women started burning bras and asking to be treated as equal as the men they spread their legs for.

About the only thing Eliot Spitzer is good for these days is comedy material, and maybe just maybe, being a ‘fluffer’ on the set of pornographic movie.

Eliot Spitzer being able to make a political comeback.

Man, they hire idiots at Fox News sometimes, Stephen Clark being the latest one to catch my attention.

With all due respect, there have been other politicians who have done worse and come back. Chief amongst them, Bill Clinton who done nearly the same deed as Spitzer, except he didnt pay money for it, that we know of, and he was President at the time and did the deed in the Oval office, then lied- before making his comeback. Marion Barry-Caught smoking crack on national tv with a prostitute in a cheap DC hotel-before beingf sent to prison and being re-elected, Any one of the Kennedy’s you care to name-who never left the public eye after any incident. The list is too long to name and to have to go back in history reciting stories of comebacks. Spitzer, admitted his mistake, sought help for a huge problem, seems contrite, and has nothing left to hide. We are a forgiving society at large and someone may convince him to at least try for a comeback. I certainly wouldn’t rule it out-just stay away from ethics issues, LOL

I agree there have been politicians who have done worse and made a comeback, though in Bill Clinton’s case there was no room for him to make a comeback in politics. Granted he did go in private life and has done well. I can’t really say much about Marion Barry, but I do remember his story. Did he not get himself into trouble again though.

Spitzer on the other hand; we’re talking about a guy who talked big about going after organized crime, and of course criminal vices like prostitution (sort of anyway), while he was indulging in a little extra-curricular activity involving prostitution.

I agree we are a forgiving society, but at the end of the day it is time we started holding our politicians up to a higher standard, especially when it comes to their dalliances in sometimes criminal, and immoral activities, not that I think the world’s oldest profession is immoral.

I really doubt Spitzer will be able to make a political comeback, but yeah, you never know.
